Profile
Zhang Moliu is an artist who focuses on the complexity of being a woman. She was born in 1984 and currently lives in Beijing. Her oeuvre encompasses paintings, handicrafts, illustrations, and poems. She highlights women's physical and mental conditions and presents an unspeakable and eerie situation. Although she tends to use saturated contrasting colors to create a pop art style, the content of her images is often obscure and full of multiple meanings. Known as "a female artist of grotesque creation," she creates dream-like images revealing real secrets about reality and the inner world.
